January 17th, 2012
First, our second meeting of the month of January and our guest speaker will be:
Tom Wieclawski
Mr. Wieclawski has been an instructor at the Neil Balkwell Center and has been involved locally in many projects. One thing that he is totally into is “Pin Hole Photography”, which if you’ve ever seen is quite a science and if you’ve not seen it, here is your chance. What you can get from an empty box of chocolates or a shoe box. So don’t miss this one, something not many get the opportunity to see.
Second, the January 21st Field Trip.
Heather and Brent Parkin have invited us out to their residence to have a look at the future, the future of printing that is. Attached you will see the invitation with a slight description of the process and the directions to their home. As you can see it’s an all-day invitation so you don’t necessarily have to be a Tripper to partake of this. Standard fair if you’re interested, the Coliseum Restaurant in the Victoria Square at 8 am. There will be some photo opportunities so bring your equipment, these may happen before or after the visit to the Parkin’s, I’ll leave those logistics up to Keith.
Last but not least, signup for the Workshops. Four have been made available to you, Camera 101 (January 22nd), Photo Composition (January 29th) , Photoshop Beginner (February 25th) and Photoshop Advanced (February 26th). If you have any questions about or want to join the workshops, for the first two get in touch with Larry Easton leaston@sasktel.net and the last two keith@reginaphotoclub.com .
See you Tuesday.
One more thing, next meeting is our second “Show and Tell” event so if you want to present please let me know. There was nothing but possitive comments on the first presentation, can’t see why this one should be any different. Your work is only your work unless you get it out there!!! Remember this is your club so participate in it, just as the first presenters did.

Field Trips
Our fieldtrippers group meets semi-regularly over the
season for outings and photo-shoots! What do
you get out of these trips? Experience, exposure,
ideas, and a really good time.
We usually foray out every 3rd Saturday of the month.
Get out with the Fieldtrippers and shoot!
There are so many events going on
in and around Regina. Keep those cameras ready and
your mind open to learn and play with new techniques.

announcements, please e-mail gil@reginaphotoclub.com
